Want to use a real pumpkin to create a centerpiece? It’s easier than you might think!
- Start by selecting as round a pumpkin as you can find, cut the top off of a pumpkin and clean it out as you would when preparing a jack-o’-lantern.
- Let the pumpkin sit exposed to air for about 2 hours to dry.
- Inside the pumpkin, a plastic container that fits easily.
- Soak floral foam in water and then place it inside the container.
- Now you can add real or artificial flowers by pushing the stems into the foam.
- If using real flowers, be sure to water and add plant food every other day.
