Sautéed Green Beans with Nutmeg

This is a very tasty and simple recipe for a classic favorite.

Servings: 6

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 ½ pound green beans, cut
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cook beans in a sauce pan half full of water. When they turn bright green, they’re finished. Strain them and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat the butter and oil over a medium-high heat and add the well-drained
  3. beans. Add the salt and pepper to taste and sauté them for about 2 to 3 minutes. Add nutmeg and sauté another minute or so. Beans should be crisp and tender.
