Tipsy Thursday: Rum with Homemade Lemonade

The Lemonade that we buy in the store doesn’t even come close to freshly squeezed lemon juice.  In my opinion:  And even though you have to use a fair amount of sweetener, you can control the amount and it won’t taste so god awful sweet as some store bought brands do.  Plus it tastes extremely fresh.  I would be willing to bet that there are quite a few people out there who have never had “real” lemonade before.  If one of them is you, you are missing out! Let me tell you! It really makes a difference.

When I was younger and my family lived in Haiti, we had both a lime and  lemon tree in our backyard.  We use to make lemonade and limeade on a regular basis.  It was so good; it’s usually the first thing I think of every time I smell lemons or limes. Anyways, its good and if you haven’t tried it before, make some.  Even if you don’t put rum in it. 😉
